day in the life:
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using woodworking machinery and tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and project managers to confirm details.
- Select appropriate woods, veneers, hardware, and other materials.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components using a variety of tools and machines.
- Construct and install custom cabinets, casework, and furniture pieces.
- Apply finishes, stains, and varnishes to achieve the desired look.
- Install cabinetry and built-ins on-site, making precise adjustments for a perfect fit.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces both in the shop and on job sites.
- Inspect and verify work against quality standards and specifications.
Safety
- Attend and participate in all required safety trainings and toolbox talks.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the Company’s safety program (particularly the use of hardhats, safety glasses, and work boots and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture.
qualifications:
- Solid carpentry skills and knowledge of commercial cabinetry and casework
- Proficiency with woodworking tools, machinery, and installation techniques
- An eye for detail and commitment to precision craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A sense of pride in your work and desire to contribute to exceptional projects
