The Dwight Foster Public Library in Fort Atkinson underwent a major renovation and addition to modernize the historic library. The Fort library, which began as a reading room in the 1890s; later moving into its own building in 1916 now stands at 33,000 square feet. The renovated library features five fireplaces, spaces dedicated for teens and children, and provides the home-like comforts past patrons are accustomed.
